Getting the products I needed for the ceremony and reception required some thought, but as I turned my attention to getting a present for my bridesmaids, it dawned on me that I had a long ways to go yet. I just couldn’t seem to come across anything that they would really appreciate. I went online and there are quite a few lovely gifts for bridesmaids and all that attend the reception. Trying to select just the right one is where it got difficult. There were also a lot of great deals on thank you gifts that I found at a discount. One particular eight-piece set I found saved me a lot of money; it had a pillow for the ring bearer, a basket for the flower girl, a pen and sign-in book for guests, and several other things, all in one. I saved a ton on that. Instead of having to buy each piece separately, I was able to purchase it all together at a great low price.
While looking for the thank you gifts for my bridesmaids, I found a very lovely jewelry box I thought they all might like to have. In fact there were a few nice wedding jewelry boxes that I could choose from. The choices for what to get my bridesmaids were so many that I finally just went back to planning the rest of the wedding because my head was spinning. I had some shopping to do yet for the reception; the ceremony was pretty well set. The wedding favors for relatives and close acquaintances hadn’t been settled on, so I looked at doing that, and then there was also the matter of a wedding cake topper to look into. Bottle openers made of chrome in the form of birds of peace and salt and pepper shakers that looked like a couple on their wedding day were what I went with. Normally, I would have gotten some containers for the chrome openers, but the boxes they came in were so adorable that I just went with those. My fiance got his groomsmen a nice little stainless steel flask and a multi tool gadget that has just about everything from a pair of pliers to a bottle opener.
We got a figurine of a bride and groom holding each other to put at the top of our cake. I almost picked one out that had embossed silver intials and crystals, but after looking through a whole bunch of possibilities, I went with our mini bride and groom. With all of the rest of it out of the way, it was time to make the call on a present for my bridemaids. I bought them all a piece of unique wedding jewelry, and I put it in jewelry gift boxes. The piece I got each of the bridesmaids was a glittery rhinestone bangle. It was just perfect for them even though it probably sounds like a bit much. There were a lot of choices of discount wedding jewelry available, which meant I could get them something really nice, and still save money. The pearl wedding jewelry I picked out to wear at my wedding was from the same spot. There are some really exquisite pieces to choose from, and less costly than you may imagine. The girls really loved their thank you gifts and I guess the guys were happy with what my fiance chose for them too.
It turned out to be the best day of my life and we all had such a great time at the reception. My single sister caught the bouquet and my brother in law was the winner at the garter toss. Might something come of it? Who knows, maybe one day they will be in our spot and my sister would then be my sister in law as well, that’s really weird. Only time will tell.
