The wedding I went to last week was all set up with gorgeous mikasa crystal accessories for all the reception tables. They had mikasa favors and mikasa crystal glassware on every reception table. The bride decorated her whole wedding and all the reception tables with such excellent taste. The mikasa accessories she had really added sparkle and elegance to her already beautiful table settings.
They had little silver doves as the place card holders, and on the end of their tails were little place cards with a bride and groom printed on them. Her centerpieces were quite lovely too and really helped to bring out the ambience of all the accessories she had decorated the tables with. The exquisite pillar candles she had for her centerpieces were so lovely with the floral ring around them. Their choice of wedding favors were something to acknowledge too. Deep chocolate cake with chocolate cream cheese topping each of the five layers with the fantastic wedding cake they had. As the cake topper she had a really unique idea. She shopped online for almost all of her wedding accessories and reception supplies and found out they customized cake toppers for weddings. The bride and groom on the cake topper look just like the wedding couple and they did this with only a couple head shot photos of the bride to be and her fiance. It was absolutely perfect. My mom and dad are having a renewal ceremony for their anniversary, and I’d like to find out where she ordered that cake topper from so I could get one made for their reception party.
I think one of the funniest part of this whole thing was when it was time for the garter toss. All those single men gathered together with a growing excitement while they watched the groom remove the leg garter from his bride. All of them were reaching and pushing into each other with the sole objective of being the one to take home the brides garter. The funniest part though, is that the winner of the garter toss was a widower in his 70’s that didn’t even want to participate in the toss. The old guy walked away with a big smile on his face.
For the bridal toast we all had crystal champagne flutes, that we were also given to take home, with the names of the bride and groom, and date of the wedding printed on them. After the toast it was time for the bride and groom to take their place on the dance floor for their first dance together as husband and wife. They made such an elegant couple as they danced across the dance floor. The floor quickly filled up with couples right after the wedding couple finished their first dance. I know I went overboard on the dancing, my feet hurt all night long.
We all wished the bride and groom good luck as they left for their honeymoon. Hawaii was the honeymoon destination, from what I was told by one of the guests. They’ll have a honeymoon to equal this fabulous wedding and reception. We all stay for quite a while after the bride and groom left and partied ourselves into exhaustion.
A couple of weeks later, I received a thank you note from the bride and groom for the wedding gift and for attending. She really got to these thank you’s quickly. I did manage to get the information on the website that she ordered everything for the mikasa wedding favor from and the unique wedding cake topper too. In fact, I’m getting ready to place my order right now for my mom and dad’s anniversary wedding.
